I am about to order parts to build my first computer. Before I order the parts I would like to know if this is a good build and if I should change anything. I will be using this computer for gaming and a lot of video editing and rendering with Adobe After Effects CS6 or CC. Also, is an SSD really worth getting because I do not think I can afford getting one so if they are not worth it or do not make a big change I will not get one. I still do not have a monitor and keyboard picked out and that may be another 100 - 200$. If you have any suggestions please tell me.

Your build is pretty good, but the main thing that could change is the motherboard. You could change the CPU if you want.
Unless you're running SLI/Crossfire, you don't really need the z97 motherboard.

If you're not overclocking:

The reason I picked the xeon over the i7 is because its basically an i7 without the igpu. It has 8 threads.

Go with a H97 motherboard if you're not planning on a crossfire/sli build.

The gtx 770 is a pretty good card. You could pick a r9 280x if you want. It's slightly cheaper.
