Hello!

I have recently bought a new monitor and it says it can display at 144hz, the problem is that when i got to right click on desktop> resolution> advnaced settings> monitor i can change my refresh rate, but it shows 60 hz max which makes me think that the monitor i got is displaying only 60hz. If anyone could tell me why its not displaying 144hz like the monitor box and manual says it should that would be great!

PS: maybe it shows 60 hz is max but its displaying 144hz when im playing games?

How are you connected to your monitor? Only certain cables support more than 60Hz, you have to be using dual link DVI, Display Port, or HDMI 1.4b to get 120Hz, if you are connected through an average HDMI cable or a single link DVI cable you are restricted to 60Hz.
