Hello all,

I have a PC with a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD that I have filled up with 900GB of files. I bought another 1TB 7200 RPM HDD with the intention of either merging the drives and having 2TB of overall storage, or setting them up in RAID 0 and just cutting down on all the games that I have installed, but having faster overall read/write speeds.

I've tried doing research on the internet to find out how I can do this and a lot of the information i've been seeing is in regards to setting up RAID before even installing the OS. I'd rather not reformat my existing full drive if I don't have to.

Can someone here help me out or at least point me in the right direction?

System info:
OS: Windows 8.1
HDDs: (2) 1TB 7200 RPM
CPU: Intel i5 2500k
Ram: 8GB DDR3
GPU: AMD 6950HD 2GB

I will provide any other info that is needed.

Thank you

Since you dont want to lose whats on the drive your only choice is win8's storage spaces. Raid0 or jbod will require you to change the sata controller mode to raid mode and then format the drives.
