I have a Netgear N750 Wireless dual band gigabit router with different SSID's and passwords and my room mate has a different wireless router connected to the modem at one end of the house. Can I connected to the main wireless router enable for me to get better antenna at my end of the house? And if so how do I do that?

Most modems have one LAN port that the router plugs into. You cannot plug 2 routers directly into one modem. You can plug a second router into another router. Try to put them on separate WiFi channels.
