Here is the build - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Entrt4inment/saved/wkvq...

Okay so I only have two main questions.

I want my build to be future proof which involves me wanting to overclock in the future. Mainly the CPU as I will just buy another GPU if needed. That is why I went for the pricey motherboard (I am also considerin the ASUS Z97-K which will save me a tenner). But I want to know if there are any other motherboards I should consider that are cheaper but still stand at that high quality range.

Secondly can someone give me a suggestion for an optical drive. I don't know if there are good or bad quality optical drives that I should be concerned about but even then just give me a cheap, average quality optical drive.

And lastly I have a question but not a very important one, is there ANYTHING else I should consider when building my first PC? I mean should I ONLY buy new parts or is second hand okay? Do I need anti-static bands? Any advice really from someone who thinks that I should know a few things before going into it. Please answer the 4 previous questions though.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read and answer, your help is greatly appreciated.

I can throw mt 2 cents in on the optical drive. LiteOn makes a great cheap one. Obviously, they get more expensive than the $14 I payed, but I was willing to skimp on that.

Frankly that is a really good board. For antistatic precautions, just touch a plugged in power supply before building.
