I am using an NVIDIA GX 550 TI in a PCI express 2.0 slot. I have another PCI express 2.0 slot that I want to put a newer 750 into but it is PCI express 3.0 card. I know they are backwards compatible but will these two cards play well together with the SLI?

Solution

No, they are different cards and have different architectures.

OK what about running two 750 TIs? Thanks for the quick response, btw.

No, the GTX 750/750Ti both do not support SLI. If you want to have SLI, go with at least a GTX 760. I would instead go for one GTX 770 for the same price as 2 750 Tis would be.
