Hello, we have a Toshiba laptop that is a couple of years old that the kids use. The hard drive failed on that computer. I have a couple of old laptops that the charge ports are shot but the hard drive works. Can I swap one of the hard drives from the broken laptop to the Toshiba? The other ones are Gateway machines.

Yes, but you'd have to reinstall Windows.
Also, depending on how old the donor laptops are the connector for the hard drive might be different compared to the Toshiba's, in which case the hard drives can't be swapped. Can't know this part though without more info.
