8.1 is only using 7.99 of my 16GB of ram. this same system was using all 16 not long ago and it POOF just stoped using the rest.

bios sees 16GB, linux live sees 16, cpuz sees 16, ect.

what software options could prevent windows from using ram other than the msconfig max boot?

16GB 7.99 useable... i cant use this comp with only 8gb of ram... im ready to just ditch widnows and go for ubuntu if it wasnt for the software headaches.

i have spent ALL night on this now, fully rebuilt the comp, installed and uninstalled every driver on the system, changed the entire bios settings for core config, im ready to just take a hammer to the damn thing.

i tested each stick with 7 passes of memtest, no issues on any stick. i installed 2 sticks at a time in pairs, no issues with detection. i placed all 4 back in and same issue, 7.99 useable. i reseated my CPU again, tried it pushed all the way up, down, left, right, ect. i reflashed my bios, checked for any bent pins on the CPU and ram ports, yet still... nothing....

so today i come home and starter it up, 16GB of ram detected! i restart, 7.99GB of ram detected...

what in the hell...
