I currently have two monitors set up into my xfx r700 ghost series video card. One is a VGA but I used a DVI adapter so its VGA to DVI into my card. The other (I bought this one afterwards so I just got the adapter with it) is a DVI that I got an HDMI adapter for so its DVI to HDMI into my card. Confusing, I know. My 3rd monitor is a LCD TV with only an HDMI port. I used that with a mini display port adapter but I can only keep 2 of them on at the same time. My graphics card has 1 hdmi port, 2 mini display, 1 dvi and another dvi-d i think is what it's called. I'm at a total loss on how to set this up. If there's anyway you could help I would really appreciate it.

What's the exact model number of your card. I'm finding several variations on the R700 ghost series. To start with it seems like you have a few things awkward. You should probably have both DVI outputs on the card running to the first two monitors. One should be DVI to the VGA monitor. One should be DVI to the DVI monitor. The third should probably be HDMI to HDMI on the tv. I can tell you more for sure with the model number.

Also, it would be helpful if in the future you post graphics card related questions in the proper category. The CPU category really isn't the right place for this question. This affects many things like not having the right people looking at your post and then when the problem gets solved, it will count towards a cpu badge when it should count towards graphics and displays category. Anyhow, if you can get the model number that would help.

Lastly, are you trying to set up an eyefinity type display or just have three separate desktops to designate certain things to?

Sorry I haven't really posted here but one other time. Core Radeon 7870 1000M 2GB d52XmDP. That is what the top of the graphics card says. Also, I don't really care how the setup goes I just want to be able to use 3 monitors with extended desktop. I don't want two monitors to be "one screen" so to speak. I tried to connect a DVI adapter into the second DVI port and I got no signal. That's why I chose the DVI-HDMI adapter because at the time I was only concerned with my dual monitor.
