My computer has been shutting off randomly after playing games for about 30 minutes to an hour. Once it shuts off, pressing the power button wont turn it on unless i switch the psu off and on first. When i use prime 95 and valley benchmark my cpu gets to 63 degrees c and gpu gets around 70 degrees c. From what i've been reading, it looks like the psu is the problem but i'd like to know if there's a way to confirm that the psu is responsible for the random shutting down.

CPU: AMD FX-4320
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
GPU: Sapphire DUAL-X R9 280
Power Supply: Azza Alpha 700w PSAZ-700C12
HDD: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EALX 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Thanks in advance for any help at all!

Hey Buddy! Sounds to me like your reaching your computer's maximum safe temperature limit. Different computers vary on their thermal limit. My CPU is designed to shut off at 85C and my video card is designed to shut off at 90C (However my CPU never goes above 30C and my video card never goes above 32C.)

Best thing to do is to make sure all the dust is off the components and you might want to invest in some better cooling for your computer.

Well, you've done a good job of telling us everything EXCEPT what PSU you have. That's kinda important. I had my OCZ Z-Series 1000W PSU do that once and I immediately sprung for an EVGA 1000 G2 (mostly for the 10 year warranty). There's no way I was nearing the thermal limit because my case isn't dusty and it worked fine for over a year. I keep my OCZ PSU in the EVGA box to use as a spare in case I ever need to because after that one-time problem it worked fine ever since. I would look into a new PSU that is a recognised name and has a higher wattage rating than the one that you currently have.
