Solution
Depending on your expectations I think it will be a good purchase. I had a phenom x2 similar to yours with a 560ti (on par with the 750ti) and I could play games at 1080p with no problem. You aren't going to be playing things maxed out but gaming on medium settings at 60 fps can be done.

That card is most likely going to bottleneck that Phenom I cpu. It seems that board supports Phenom II processors and I'd seriously suggest at least upgrading to one of the Phenom II cpus. That would probably alleviate most of the problem. What you have will work but you'll have some unnecessary lag. What kind of monitor are you using? Resolution?

Because he has a Phenom I and can upgrade to a Phenom II which won't bottleneck, or at least not as much. The Phenom II has better gaming benchmarks by as much as 40% on some sites testing, instruction capability not included with the older Phenom and probably can be overclocked better than the older Phenom.

Thank you. i have missed click on best solution sorry and cannot undo it :( ( i'm just new commer)

i'm using 17' montitor but i have a 24' tv too, if the tv isn't busy i just swicht to it :D.
About the CPU, does it worth to upgrade cpu am3 on am2+ (ddr2 vs ddr3 on gaming) , what is the best cpu i can upgrade according to this site: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1031&CategoryID=1&MenuID=20&LanID=21 (i have newest bios update 05/06/10) . and what cpu u recomend for my case. i'll do it after i get this card.

thanks
till looking for anyone make a comment :D

Since you're still looking for an answer it seems you can use the Phenom II 975 (BE) with a 3.6Ghz quad core or a Phenom II 1100T (BE) with a 3.3Ghz six core. Either of those should be a major improvement over what you have now. Make sure to verify with ECS on compatibility and also whether you need to do a BIOS update to support those or if you are already on the most current BIOS.

He has an original Phenom. It performs nowhere near a Phenom II.

That motherboard is not well suited for a Phenom II. Poor vrm's. No heatsinks on them . DDR 2 ram. Personally I would not throw any money whatsoever at it.

The manufacturer says it supports it. You might not want to OC on it and yeah it's only ddr2 memory. Honestly it's not worth the price you'd pay for a Phenom II if you buy it new. For that price, you would be far better off with the G3258 Pentium and a cheap board with some new ram. You could give it a mild OC and be in much better shape than with what you have even including the Phenom II. But hey, that's not what he asked about. He wanted to know about his card with what he already has and I just offered a quick option not even thinking about him just upgrading since he didn't indicate he was willing to do that. Anyhow, there you go.

I see. So when i get second- hand phenom 2 ( mobo supports 1055t 1065 945 max) is the ddr2 hold the cpu gaming performance back ? (i mainly plays game and do some stuff)
And the bottleneck is at least sloved, guys?
I have plan to move on new system in a year later but not now :??:
thanks guys

Well, of course the DDR2 will hold the system back compared to DDR3. Obviously any time you have older technology it's better to have newer technology, at least most the time. There could be exceptions to this but they don't apply in this case.

But since you can't use DDR3 without a new motherboard and cpu and then probably a new PSU as well, it doesn't matter, unless you want to upgrade them all now instead. Personally, I'd just use what I had for now and save the money. Or go for something like this that can get you way better performance right now for fairly cheap but you would still need to get new RAM:

Splendid
I'm sorry but it would be nonsence to put any money into the board+cpu+ram at this time he needs to just get a new GPU and think about upgrading to a newer board+cpu+ram setup. A good 300$ would do it. 120$ 6300, 80$ 8 GB of DDR3 ram, 100$ for a AM3+ board anhai i would just get a 750TI and wait that phenom is actually not a whole lot slower anyways except for its clock speed
