i recently swapped out a bad HDD and just installed everything. occasionally my computer would freeze (the things that i have playing (music or video) will continue to play sound in the background but i cant open/close programs and such. if i manage to tab to task manager before it freezes, the cpu/memory usage aren't 100% however, when i was coincidentally in my computers when the freeze happen, i noticed my c drive available space change. my c drive is 2tb (5 gigs or so used) but during the freeze it went all the way up to like 100mb space left or something like that. and when the hdd space returned to normal (5gigs) then everything began running fine again. also during 1 of the freeze it said that my windows explorer stopped responding.

im honestly super confused about this. i originally thought it might b my cpu or ram starting to fail but that hard drive thing isn't a symptom of cpu/ram failiure :S dont even know what kinda symptom that would b lol

pheonm x6 1055t
4x8 gb 1600 mhz dd3 ram
ga 870a ud3 motherboard
3tb seagate HDD
EVGA GTX 660

prior to swapping out HDD i was having unable to start windows and unable to fix using auto repair, recovery, chkdsk and such.

i completely replaced my hdd/formated
its a 3tb drive that i replaced with and when i installed windows it just created 1 partition (c) which is 2tb. after installing windows i went on the manufacturer site to download some program to allow the other 1tb to be usuable
http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/beyond-2tb/

the computer is quite old but the only original parts is the CPU and MB which i am planning to change soon but need the computer to last until i get them (live in a place where delivery would take ~30 days unless i pay ridiculous fees
alrdy ordered a amd fx-8350 and a 970 motherboard

also i just further partitioned my drives so that if it were to happen again i'd b able to see if its only my c drive space is the only one which changes
