Computer setup
CPU: AMD FX-4100
RAM; 8G
GPU; 2G ATI AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
MOBO;ASUSTeK
M5A97 (AM3r2) PS; Corsair TX650

1: I used to use speccy but now i sue Ai suite II Speccy would show 10-15 degrees difference when Ai would show 70 speccy would only say 61, i trust AiS2 better since it comes with the mobo.

2: I have 3 fans on a controller and i keep them low until it hits 65 then I usually put them to max, in Ai suite fan Xpert I set the cpu fan to be at 60% at all times then @ 50 degrees it goes to 80% 60 degrees and higher 100%, the one case fan i have is at 50% until 60 then it goes to 100%.

When I am just browsing the internet the cpu sits around 43-47. When I start any game (Counter strike source, League of legends, Duel of the Planeswalkers. )it slowly crawls to 71 degrees 5 minutes into it. Nothing else get anywhere near that hot.

I have 2 120mm fans and 1 80, then 120's fit the case but i can put a larger one on it since there is a nothing set of screw holes about an inch away. Should i go for the next size up (and would that be 140mm?), or should I upgrade my cpu heatsink/fan setup?

AMD's temperature sensors on the CPU are not reliable. The CPU sensor is more like a signal it sends to the motherboard to tell it how much to cool the CPU. The motherboard temperature sensor is more accurate.

Replace the thermal paste on your CPU. Don't use too much or too little. You want just enough that it barely squeezes out of the sides when the heatsink is secured.

Stock heat sinks for the AMD4100 are adequate. It wouldn't hurt to upgrade, but you might not see much of a difference. Make sure you have plenty of air flowing through the case, meaning an entrance for air and an exit for air.

I recently re-pasted maybe 5 months back but doesn't hurt to do again, Also i have the 2 120's on the side sucking air in on the cpu and other is on vid card the case fan sucking in aswell. The one 80mm is on the back blowing out. I do have a space open on the top that i haven't put any fan on it yet.

Also Mobo doesn't go above 60 on speccy and As2

Is 70C the socket/CPU temp? If so, it's not overheating. The core temp is okay until about 70C. What is your core temp/package temp under load?

EDIT - Yes an 80mm on the back is not near enough, put a 120mm or larger on top if you can.
