I'm planning to make a light gaming build and I just need some thoughts on what motherboard I should use. The motherboard should be under £50 and keep in mind I am not going to overclock the CPU. At the moment, I'm leaning towards the Asus M5A78L-M/USB3. Is that a good mobo for my needs?

I would recommend against the M5A78L because it uses the 760G chipset, which is not really intended for use with the FX-series processors, and has several known stability/compatibility issues with Windows. You really want to make sure you have a 900-series chipset. I'm going to go ahead and suggest the M5A97, which is a little over your £50 budget, but a very solid motherboard. This would be a similar choice in-budget: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-970ag43

@viewtyjoe, I decided to use that motherboard because it was like £1 cheaper.

Anyway, I chose the CPU cooler to be the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2; is that cooler okay if I were to do a small overclock (maybe 3.5 to 3.7/8)? I doubt I'd overclock but I'm just asking. And which is better: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 or the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo? Please don't suggest other coolers, just need some feedback on them two.
