Slow upload and download speeds.

Hello.

I have a contract with Eircom(Irish internet provider) for 100mbs unlimited fibre broadband. The problem is, even after replacing my ethernet cable today. I still get about 12MB Download speed and 0.60mb Upload speed. If I try WI-FI it gives me 5mb download speed and 0.30 upload speed.

Now my question is, what might be causing this and is there any way to fix it?

It is their modem with a wireless thingy, it has like two antennas sticking out of it. That makes no use to me tho since I use cable.

I am in a green area.
My modem is Eircom D1000
I've had the internet with them for about a month. Yes the speeds have been the same throughout.
My last provider gave me stable at least 30MB download speeds and 10mb upload speeds so it is not the area.

I would contact them and ask why you're only getting 13 Mb instead of 100 Mb...

Just FYI:

Mb = megabit
MB = megabyte

To find out how many megabytes of data you're downloading a second, multiply your download speed (13 Mb) by 0.125 --------> 13 x 0.125 = 1.625 megabytes per second. So if you're downloading a GPU driver or something that is 100 megabytes it would take about 160 seconds
