Hi anyone reading this, I'm building a pc and these are the current specs:
i5-4690
nVidia GTX 780 Ti
8gb Hyper X ram

Basically I'm not sure what mobo to get. The options I have are these only:
MSI Z97-G55 SLI
Gigabyte Z97X-SLI
and maybe this however it's $20 more expensive and is really pushing my budget, ASUS Maximus VII Ranger.

Bear in mind that my PC will primarily be for gaming and livestreaming. Video editing and stuff is secondary.

Also is their much point waiting for the GTX 800 series? Im kind of in need of a PC asap. The gpu will cost me £415.

Thank you in advance.

Yes,you can wait for the 800 sries but i don't think that the 880 would be that much faster than a 780Ti.
You are getting a Z97 board with a locked processor?Get the 'k' version. You can O.C if you need to do it in future, just to be on the safe side.
You don't need to get the Asus MAximus VII Ranger. Get something cheaper and better for the price.
Like these:
1.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97mpower(if you want to O.C hard)
OR
2.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xgaming7
OR
3.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming7
OR
4.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-z97extreme6
OR
5.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming7

Pick the one that's meets your requirements and budget.

Thank you for the reply and feedback. Truth be told, I'm actually buying the PC from cyberpowersystems. It actually works out to be cheaper to buy from them than building my own with the same specs as delivery charges add up and become very expensive. The only mobo's they offer that seem adequate are z97's. my budget is around 1300 ish give or take 50 and i need a monitor. Here is the config that I made. # 802648 (type this into the load config bar, don't copy or paste, it won't work) https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/ I would appreciate it if you reviewed it. I feel the hassle of building it myself outweighs the risk of buying from them because at least that way I'm covered by 3 years of warranty on the entire system rather than the individual parts if I got them all separate and assembled it myself.

And the reason why I'm not getting a K version is because overclocking is out of my budget. it will cost an extra 15-20£ and I need a watercooler now/in the future. The case I'm getting is not optimal for OC. it's a silent case.
