I added my own thermal paste to the CPU, and I'm not sure if it spread out evenly enough. This is running Prime95, is this a good temperature to have, also is there any way I could lower it even more?
You dont spread thermal paste anymore you are supposed to put a small dab abt the size of a grain of rice in the center and let the cooler spread it. That said those temps are okay. but they could defiantly be cooler.

I did just put a dab on it and let it spread out. First time I did it, I checked after I put the H100i down and it turned into a small circle in the center of the CPU. Then I wiped it off and put a little more on, haven't checked to see how it spread out, but is it suppose to cover the whole CPU?
60c at stock clocks on with a h100i? No, I'd reapply your thermal paste.
I'll reapply it then and post the new temperatures.
You dont need much at all you are better off with less than enough than more than enough and the paste doesnt need to cover the whole cpu just the cores in the middle.
I think the paste is your problem that stuff looks very poor quality i have never seen paste spread like that a dab like that of my noctua nt h1 would have nearly covered that.
It's arctic silver 5,should I order something else?
Try arctic MX-4, much thinner and easyer to apply. Noctua NT H1 is also very good.
I have never tried the mx-4 but i have heard good things. And i believe nt h1 and mx4 are non metallic as well unlike AS 5 so you dont run the risk of shorting anything if some drips on your mobo.
