Respected Sir,
I want to ask you an important question though. I have Nokia E5-00 phone. It has BL-4D battery which is 1200 mAh, 3.7V and 4.4Wh.
Now, inspired by a lot of power-bank advertisements online I finally bought a power-bank named 'Adcom P1120 11200 mAh Black Power Bank with Samsung Cells?' which is sold in India by 'Adcom India', you may check it's website. So, the main concern I have is that its not at all charging my phone. It has two USB power outlets namely of 5V-1A and 5V2A. I tried connecting my phone to these both but none charged my phone. As of now I had returned this power bank to the online seller.
So what I want to ask is that is there any restrictions on Nokia phones (technically) that it won't be able charge by power-bank or was my power-bank faulty? I tried the same power-bank on one of my Android phone and it started charging it. Its only my Nokia phone that shows no sign of charging at all when connected to it. So, I decided to cross check my Nokia phone. It charges perfectly wen I connect to PC USB port, also started charging when I connected it to my Android phone's wall USB charger (its 5V-500mA) and power-bank charged my Android phone too. So the only thing which is not happening is Nokia not getting charged with the power-bank.
Is there a problem with power-bank itself or is it that Nokia won't be able to charge using 1A socket on the power-bank? For reference I would also like to furnish my Nokia phone's stock charger specifications, its output is 5V-890mA.
I request you experts at TH to please guide me through this ASAP because that online merchant is about to ship a replacement for my Power-bank assuming that its faulty. Please help me in this situation.
Thank You,
Vaibhav Dingre

Yes, there is a restriction....
The E Series phones were made with very specific people in mind and carried a premium. At that time power banks weren't in the market, you were expected to charge the phones using the original chargers which had very specific current outputs.
If you remember the new thinner power connectors had come into being then, using a duplicate adapter would not charge the phone from an older thick pin adapter either.
It was not until Nokia came out with it's own power bank that we saw other cheap makes come out with them into the market.
Using such power banks could ultimately fry the phones , thus, they are never recommended.
If you get the power bank, it ain't going to work with that phone..... might as well just use it with your newer smartphone.
By the way, the nokia battery lasts quiet a few days on one charge.... I wonder why you need a power bank for an E5

So shall I cancel my power-bank's replacement and ask for a refund instead? Isn't there any other way to charge my phone using that power-bank?

Yup, cancel the order, buy another BL-4D battery and keep it handy and charged at all times with you.... no need for a power bank at all.I had very recently bought a new BL-4D battery after my stock battery swelled. Its been just a week since i replaced it. And if i buy one more then how could i charge it outside of phone?

You can't unless have a spare phone, but, what is usually done is that when one battery gets fully charged you need to remove it and place the other battery in for charging.... and the cycle goes on, everyday or 3 days....just remember to keep using both batteries by turn and you'll be fine.So Sir, you sure that my phone won't charge using this power bank?

The power bank i received was in unsealed condition and it was not having stock cables to connect different phones. Means someone has intentionally shipped me the power-bank without stock cables from the vendor site. So shall i wait for the replacement ad check it using its own cables? So is it the stock cables i didn't had of the power bank? I used my stock Nokia Micro-USB cable with that power bank.

Actually you should have posted a link to the Product too in the complain/remark and here too so we would know for sure.I've read through the whole thing, would only say, keep at it, companies should know that hard earned money is not for them to cheat us out of.
Here is the link for that particular product
http://www.snapdeal.com/product/adcom-thunder-p1120-112...
And I am actually shocked now that they have reduced its price. I had purchased it for Rs.1539 (the price displayed that time was Rs.1547 but during payment confirmation they offered unexplained discount of Rs.8).
And now they are selling it for Rs.1470!!! I am shocked myself. And if you have gone through Mouthshut review then you must be knowing that how they treated me for this transaction.
The review which I posted on Mouthshut was also posted by me on Snapdeal's product review. But they never published my review!!!! Shell Shocking. Isn't it?
I had received a call from their concerned person asking me about replacement or refund. I had explained him that I am going to use it for my Nokia E5, and again if it don't work with my mobile (even if the replaced product is 100% working) then I would return it and will ask for refund because they haven't published any compatibility info on their product page. And he accepted my condition.
Now waiting for the replacement info through email as promised by him. They have policy that they will pay my courier expenses in the form of Snapdeal Cash which I could use at a later purchase. And if for replacement doesn't work for my phone then they will refund the whole product's price as well as the 1st courier expense and 2nd courier expense too (combining these all three) into my account as I had placed a prepaid order with them.
Now waiting for the replacement with my fingers crossed because its been more than 24 hours now since I talked with that person and he promised me that they will pay my courier charges into my Snapdeal account as SD cash within 24 hours and also that the replacement would be dispatched within 24 hours. But no news of any such activity as of now.
