replaced my new laptop harddrive with an SSD.
After replacing , I could notice some fan noise or sound at normal load conditions like browsing or doing minimal resource consuming things.PLease advise , I havent heard this sound with older hard disk.

There should be no more noise when you convert to a SSD. In fact there should be less noise. Even if it is a heatsink fan, a SSD generates less heat than a hard drive. I would say that either you are just hearing it more now because you are listening harder or, There is a slight possibility depending on the placement of your hard drive in your laptop that you may have disrupted a heatsink causing the fan to run more often or faster. But the latter would be very very unlikely. I can't think of anything else it might be.

Yes Hans,I agree the later should not occur because all I am doing is just disconnecting the old one and replacing it with new one.No Hardware tampering is done.
There is small noise or continuous running of fan , in both of my HP laptops which I purchased and replaced recently with SSD's.Is there any software that need to be disabled ? like HP 3d DRIVE GUARD or COOL SENSE.Even I disabled them but still no improvement.

It's possible that with the new SSD your CPU is actually doing more work because it can process what is being delivered to it quicker. Do the fans ever settle down after it's been sitting idle for a while? Did you clone or do a clean install? If it was a clean install I wouldn't be surprised if it is some power saving software that didn't get installed.

I just cloned into my SSD. It is a new laptop.
I noticed even at idle there is some Fan noise.
Also I don't think that the CPU will work more because the SSD is fast.Because pre configured laptops sold by manufactures with SSD pre-installed will not have this fan sounds or noise issues.

Not sure what is causing the fan to turn on for you, take a look at what power profile your laptop is using. Put it in balanced mode if it is currently on high performance. I am not familiar with HP's cooling software but poke around it a little (maybe even uninstall it altogether).

What I meant by the CPU working harder is actually true, but it's when you first boot up. A conventional laptop hard drive is slow enough that on boot when your computer is loading all the programs and processes right at the beginning your system runs really slow because the hard drive is jumping around doing all these little tasks. If you monitor your CPU usage it's barely doing anything at all because it's waiting on the HDD. After you throw in an SSD if you were to monitor your CPU usage on boot up you will see that it's working much harder because it no longer has to wait as much for the SSD to deliver the information for those processes. That's why I am curious if the fans slow down after you have been idling for a while and all the initial stuff has loaded.

You said that the laptops with SSD from the store do not have the fan issue, do you actually have one to test is against or just speculation?

Mine is a wild guess , and logically it should be true , because all the ultra books with i7 4500U or i7 quads with SSD installed and those which are displayed in stores never have this sound I guess.
But , will dig more deep into it and see if I can nail down something.
Thank you for your valuable inputs.
