I'm building a new computer because my build from 2005 is starting to become slow. I started comparing the Gigabyte GA-990FX between the ASUS Z97-Pro that comes with a wifi card built in, and I couldn't really find if the Gigabyte board comes with a wifi card. Does it?

Solution
You haven't listed the complete model number for the Gigabyte board. Assuming you mean the GA-990FXA-UD3 or GA-990FXA-UD5 then the answer is no, neither of those boards have built-in Wi-Fi. There are also two versions of the ASUS Z97-Pro - one with built-in Wi-Fi and one without.

ASUS Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac)

ASUS Z97-PRO (no Wi-Fi)

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 (no Wi-Fi)

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 (no Wi-Fi)

Of course Wi-Fi can be easily added to any system using an add-on card, so that shouldn't be a deciding factor on what board to buy...

Oh man, thanks. I sort of forgot that the UD part mattered.

I purchased a ASUS PCE-AC68 PCI Express Dual-band Wireless-AC1900 Adapter that doesnt seem to fit the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3. Do you have a guide or can tell me what to look for to see if any other wifi cards will fit the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
