For my recent budget gaming rig that I'm planning to put together soon, I'm looking for the right graphics card for price and performance. I'm using an AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz processor, Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ motherboard, and a Corsair CX 500W Semi-Modular PSU along with my build, playing on medium to high settings on a 1920 x 1080p monitor. Price range is anywhere between $100-$170, and the Sapphire Radeon R9 270 (2GB) is one card I had in mind. Any other recommendations?

Solution
I think the 500W PSU is a bit low, you should go with a 600W one. The R9 270 is a good choice, i don't think the FX-6300 will cause any bottleneck to it.

I suggest you get a non LE version of the board for better OC/xfire performance.. and r9 270 is a really good card but if can get the r9 270X version for around the same price, go for that

Not when trying to run some of the newest games on very high or ultra. A lot of newer AAA titles are calling for more than 2GB now. Why not future-proof a bit instead of finding that you'd need to upgrade earlier?
