Hello.
I want to give an upgrade to my Dell XPS 8500 PC with Windows 8.1. Want putting on a new hard drive Seagate Barracuda 3tb sata III, and a Solid State Drive. The two drives are compatibles? What SSD i have to buy for my xps 8500? Thanks for all members

yes the two drives are compatible, but the question is your motherboard compatible? check with your manual or BIOS if it has an ACHI mode for the SSD(i'm assuming your gonna use it as you main boot drive).

qazzi, thanks for your reply, but I have another question. what type of ssd i have to buy, the sata 3 which is connected by cables, or mSATA. I want to use this as a boot drive and to run application from (in particular a couple of games that I play). I'm interested in a 512gb.

well scandisk and crucial SSD are one of the best right now.... so i suggest 1st get the capacity you like then research them....some do have trouble upgrading thier firmware so i would suggest find one with firmware already upgraded and bnew....
