Has anyone used the Auto tuning on this CPU and Board? Does the auto tuning not work unless it is a "K" series CPU?

The g3258 is essentially a K processor, it fully unlocked. You can use the auto tune. Plus you can use the auto tune on ASUS boards on non K processors too. Hope this helps! Have fun with that slick CPU.

Was thinking only the Anniversary Version was unlocked.

I am not too familiar with ASrock's program is there an option to manually "auto tune" lets say auto tune it but get it to stop at 4.0ghz?

The g3258 is fully unlocked. I have been sleeping 5 hours or so a night because of finals, so I read ASUS, sorry. I know on the ASUS you can manually manipulate the auto tune feature, so yes I believe you can do it on the Asrocks board too. You just adjust up or down the multiplier until you get 4.0 if its stable. If its not then you can adjust the voltage until it is.

Ok, so i am trying to do this as the middle man. He has used "A-Tuning" and was able to get it to 4ghz appears to be stable, However upon reboot it does not save settings and has to open A-tuning again. is this something he has to adjust in bios as well? Also What would safe temps be for this specific CPU at 4ghz with the Hyper evo 212 his max temp was 59c. Any advice? I have only Overclocked through Bios and not too familiar with these auto tuning programs.

59 C is a really great max temp. The highest they can go is 90 C. He should be able to use the A-tuning and save it, have him just poke around at the included software, should say save changes. That or he could call ASrock, support should be free because the MOBO is new. I hear of people getting this chip up to 4.8Ghz. So 4.0 @ 59 C isn't pushing it too hard by any means. He could also go into the bios and set by adjusting the multiplier and save it there no problem.
