hi pc gurus

help me decide what parts to use in my 3d modeling build.

i will be using Archicad, Sketchup, Autocad, Vrays and maya. Im a student so i will not be working on a large and very detailed. i just want a decent pc, i mean that has performance and power like a student workstation and will allow me to use these soft wares without lag, glitch. and waiting long.

PROCESSORS:
I also plan to overclock the cpu. the question is what is the best cpu? ive read articles about proccesors and 3 proccesors stood out.

i7 3770k - they say that this is really good for 3d modeling
i7 4770k - they say that this is better than 3770k but not too much difference
fx 8350 - thay say that this better than 3770k and 4770k when it comes to 3d modeling because it has 8 cores (and a lot cheaper).

VIDEO CARD:
for the video card. ive read that titans, quadros and firepro were excellent. and were especially built for 3d. but its too expensive for my budget. like what i've said. i would not be dealing with large and super complex 3d. im confused with the on board graphics of intel. will it help the dedicated video card in my 3d modeling?

Im planning to get a 1gb or 2gb ddr5 gpu. is it ok to overclock gpu? what are your suggestions?

MOTHERBOARD:
what are your suggestions on picking a motherboard? one that has a on board graphics? obviously we all want a 32gb capacity. durable mother board. more usb slots the better.
please suggest a motherboard that is capable if i overclock the videocard and processor.

COOLING SYSTEM:
whats best cooling system if we overclock? water or air cooling?
if we overclock the gpu does it need another cooling?

sorry for asking to many questions. i just cant decide and i only know a little about computers.

Thankyou. looking forward for your help. gurus.

If not concerned about budget at all, an i7 4930k is your fastest option. The 4770k would be the fastest of those 3, you listed. If said software takes advantage of 8 threads or more, the FX 8350 would still hold its own pretty well, and is easily overclockable. Also, if GPU is doing most of the work, you might not really see much difference in CPU performance. Which GPU is best, depends on the software in question. It would be best to browse the software maker's website. They often have forums as well.
I have both the i7 3770k and FX8350 on my desktop PCs at home - they are close in most applications - there is a slight advantage in onboard graphics to the i7 3770k IMO - but not a huge difference. In working with 3D modeling in Photoshop (not exactly what you are doing - but similar), you will notice a huge difference by utilizing at least 16GB of RAM (32GB will do better for larger models), and a good GPU. If you utilize a less expensive mobo/CPU combination, and invest in RAM/GPU, you will get more bang for the buck IMO.

So you mean id rather get 8350 and a decent mobo and have 16gb of ram, than having 3770k with 8gb of ram? Here in our country the processor

fx 8350 cost $203
3770k cost $244
4770k cost $268

Not a big difference on price but you said that id rather spent for a bigger ram memory. What you think?

More advice pls

The FX8350 is about $179-189 in the USA, compared with $299 for the core i7-3770k - over $100 difference. The RAM is going to help with larger and more complex files (you can always purchase 8GB now, and 8GB later). The biggest boost is going to be GPU power - a decent one is going to be priced close to $300 - you can actually spend thousands on a great GPU - but will the benefit be worth the expenditure....

If you can get Xeon E3 1230/1231 v3 or better in your country, I would do that. Typically less than a locked i7 for similar performance. Unless you really plan to overclock, or the price difference is small, I wouldn't get a k series chip. It depends on what selection you have in your country.

Now for AMD, I would go with an FX 8320, and bump up the multiplier to 20 to match the 8350. Saves you a decent amount of money, to put towards GPU. For what you want to do, FX 8xxx is not a bad choice on a budget. The downside is 0 upgrade options. It won't perform as well as Intel, but if your software uses more GPU than CPU, it will not matter much anyway. This is one of the rare occasions that FX makes great sense.

Thanks ronintexas.
Ill just a a 1x8gb ram and ill add later another 8gb if im not satisfied.

Without a concern in budget. Whats the best processor for 3d? 8350, 3770k or 4770k?
Is r9 gpu will be better than gtx version with boost and ti and sapphire hd?

Sorry again for questions. Thankyou
