Hello the community of Tomshardware, I'm not having the brightest morning..

I have been working on my first PC build for 3 hours, and all I've done was screw in the PSU, put in the HDD, put the CPU,Ram, and heatsink on the motherboard, and thats it.

The problem is that I have the worst case ever its this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/azza-case-csaz206

The cases standoffs do not match up with the motherboard and it really irritates me that I can't screw in the screws in the standoffs on the motherboard without it being stuck on the standoffs, and the other standoffs not matching the motherboard.

So I line up the motherboard with the i/o shield, and the standoffs do show but when I then not give pressure towards the mobo the standoffs move, so do I need to put pressure to the motherboard towards the i/o shield for me to screw in the standoffs? Please respond this is my first PC build and I don't want it to go into a bust and a waste of money and time.

Solution

I have found the solution! I used a different screw head on the electronic screwdriver and it came out all nice! So I have replaced it with the smaller screw now I just need to screw the 2 top standoffs and I'll be done with this crazy thing! I have screwed 2 in the middle and 2 on the bottom. Now just 2 on the top.. (sigh)

Im sorry im kind of confused on your situation.

Are you having trouble screwing the motherboard to your case?
If so you can move the stand offs to fit the motherboard, you typically only need 4-5 screws, each on a corner and one in the middle but you can settle for less if you are eager.

Do not screw the stand offs into the motherboard, you are suppose to move the stand offs according to the motherboard holes. You then put screws into the holes and down the standoffs.

Im sorry if this does not help, im sort of confused on your situation.

You should screw the stand offs under the board where u want to seat your motherboard, then put screws through the board holes into the stand offs.

This sounds stupid, but you may not of put the I/o shield in properly. Take is out and make sure its orientated the right way round and push it in really hard until it clicks into place. Then try and install your motherboard again.

Hope this helps :)

Sorry I do apologize, since this is my first build I am really panicked of what is happening. I move the motherboard where it matches up with the standoffs, I screw one down and when I do the other standoffs don't match anymore for some reason, I don't know why, so when I try to unscrew it it won't unscrew.... Am I using the right screws for this? I'm using an ATX motherboard GB F2A88X-D3H. The screws I am using came from the case.

Do not be afraid to be a bit forceful. The screw has to come out if its causing an issue. Remove that screw, make sure the shield is securely locked (often times you will have to bend the shield pins back so that inputs can fit). Remember if its not fitting the way you would like it to, you can always move the standoffs the way you like. You do not need to screw in every hole, just enough to secure the board.

Oh I think I have found the problem..

I was using the wrong screws... (retard alert) (retard alert)

So, the right screw for the mobo are alot smaller than the wrong one.

I have already screwed in a hole with the big screw and I want to unscrew it but I can't I am using an electronic screw, must I use a manual screw?

So you cant remove the screw? You must lol. Try a manual screw driver, and i do not recommend electric tools when working with motherboards or any computer parts for that matter. Only you can judge the amount of force your applying. It seems like you screw in the piece too far, you may have even broken the stand off from the inside, i do not recommend using that standoff again if you remove the screw.
