I have a intel core i5 4440 on a gigabyte H81m-s2pv in a cit vantage case and I am wondering if I should change my stock intel cooler for a akasa ak-968 X4 CPU cooler as te stock one is loud and hot.
I am also wondering if it would fit into my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it is not compatible with the Intel LGA 1150 socket, what temps are you getting?

I have just done some research and it turns out that the hyper212 evo wont fit but a tx3 will so i was wondering if that is a good cooler ? as it is significantly smaller

i am planning on using a cooler master hyper tx3 evo as it is small but quiet and powerful. although i think it works with an lga 1150 socket as some sites say it is and other say it works with other sockets but i dont know. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-TX3-Tower/d...

are you sure as other people have been saying that it does and if you look at the specs part of this site it says 1150 socket

Amazon didn't say that it was compatible, but i did look on PC Part Picker and it did say that it was compatible with the Intel LGA 1150 socket, and PCPP has never steered me wrong so you will be fine with that one.

+1. Amazon usually has old or outdated information when it comes to these things.
