MSI R9 270X GAMING 2G ITX 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

This is my first graphics card that I bought, and the case feels really really hot. The after burner was telling me it was 83 degrees Celcius while running sniper elite 3. I don't know what to set the after burner settings at to lower the heat. I don't want anything burning up in there.

83 is fine for load on that card, especially considering the fact that it has a cut down cooler to fit in a mini ITX case.

Will it damage any of the other parts in the case? Only worried, I'm a newbie at these things.

It shouldn't. It does run a bit hot for that particular card design (they usually hang around 70, whereas the stock 270x's run at 80ish), but it's probably due to airflow (I'm assuming you have an mini ITX case). It's still not hot enough to be overly concerned with. If you'd like it to run a bit cooler you can try to add some fans if your case has the room for them. If not then it'll be fine as is.

Nah I don't think it has space for fans. What do you mean the mini ITX case? I got this http://www.microcenter.com/product/423411/B648_Desktop_... .
Also, how long would I be able to play at a time without getting any damage done to the card or my computer?
Update: I started playing again, and the temperature is bouncing from 80, to 82, to 84, to 82. :c
Update 2: And now 85.

Mini ITX is the type of motherboard your card was made to go into. They're smaller and generally go into specially made Mini ITX cases (hence the the smaller "mini" card). The card itself works just fine in a regular motherboard and case though so no worries. Also those temps won't do any harm in prolonged gaming sessions. Unless you go into the mid to high 90s I wouldn't concern yourself.

Just for safety , I want to install a fan or two. Where can I get those, like one that can replace a side of the case or be put inside. It's really tight though :C
