Noah Carr :
I just got an Asus GT 640 4 gigs and put it into my pc's PCI slot, when I plug my HDMI into it the screen is black, same when my HDMI is plugged into my CPU, and my Razer Naga mouse is not lighting up, but when I take the GPU out and plug my HDMI into my CPU my computer turns on like normal and my naga's lights turn on. Can some one please help?????
1. Check if the HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU, not the Mobo.
2. If it boots up, congrats; it's working. However, it may be at the wrong resolution.
3. Install the drivers off Nvidia's website.
If step one doesn't work, check if your GPU is receiving power.
1. If step one doesn't work open your computer and turn it on. (BE CAREFUL)
2. Check if the GPU fan is running. If it isn't, you're not getting power.
3. Are all the cables plugged in? If so tighten them and check again.
4. If the fan still doesn't work, your PCI slot may be defective.
