well probably seen this question before but here goes
i am failing miserably to update my new (new to me) compaq cq58 laptop so as to advance to 8.1 everytime i go to download it will sit at 0% or complete only to fail configurating updates and start all over again
i have tried troubleshooting as admin and turning on "download over metered connections"
I have contaced ms and they gave me a free key but i would prefer to fix the issue than just avoid it as i know it will eventuyalkly happen again
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
