I just build my pc and tried out overclocking. At 4.3 Ghz, it runs on 80 degrees max.I overclocked it to 1.350 V. My cpu is 4690k and my cpu cooler is corsair h100i. Should i not overclock or could i go even higher ? Also, what could be causing the massive heat? There were like 3 spots with bent fins on the cpu cooler radiator. p.s. It was on 100 percent load.

Solution
1.35 volts seems really high for a 4.3Ghz overclock.. try 1.2 - 1.25 and see if that is stable, lowering the volts will lower the temps.

3 bent fins on the radiator should make little to no difference on your temps...

Any overclock will make your CPU hotter. Don't go any farther, as after 80C, the CPU will downthrottle and run below stock clock. It does this because just like overclocking makes more heat, underclocking makes less.

If your CPU Cooler has bent fins, it's junk. Get a new one.

Yea, that seems to do the job. Im getting about 67 degrees max with 1.200 V. Is it worth it for me to try 4.5 or 4.4 ghz, or there is no point of it? Maybe not even worth it? if yes, then recommend a voltage, because im realy not that good with overclocking. Btw, thanks for the help ps. i overclocked the boost frequency of each core individually, if that helps anything

Nobody here can tell you for sure what voltage to use for your CPU. Every CPU is different. Overclocking is a trial and error process and can take a very long time to determine the "sweet spot" for your particular CPU. I would spend some quality time in the overclocking section of the forum to understand the process a little better. There are some good stickies in that section of the forum that will help.
