Thermal compound for pc
Hello, i just wanted to ask if i need a Thermal compound (Artic Silver 5) for my Intel Core i7 7820k with a Corsair H80i, will it work fine? Or i don't need it. Thanks for your help.
The Corsair H80i cooler comes with thermal paste that works just fine. If you were going to replace it I would use a paste better than Arctic Silver 5. There have been better pastes out there for quite some time. You will see that in this test the Corsair paste and Arctic Silver 5 are within .4 degrees of each other when used with a closed-loop liquid cooler like the H80i. I would just stick with the pre-applied Corsair paste.

It does come with Thermal Compound, but i can buy it, its very cheap so, should i?
No, the paste that come with it is fine.

Thanks for your help
Regardless of the paste you choose it's going to be within 2C so it doesn't matter unless you are an extreme overclocker. Arctic silver is fine if you NEED to buy something, but don't buy it just for the sake of it. If you want something better, look at the review he posted, decide on your mounting method and see what's available in stores.
No, you don't need to replace the pre-installed thermal paste. In the future if you need thermal paste GELID Solutions GC-Extreme has become my new favorite paste. It is toward the top of the chart I linked to above.
