So I bought a GPU awhile back and after figuring out i needed more power i bought the PSU W/ 500W and the Card (ASUS RADEON R7250X 2GDDR5) required 400W so i am sure i have enough power now... but the card still isn't working (The fans spin a small red light glows on top) so what could possibly be the problem now? possibly the drivers? i tried to install the drivers from the disk that came from but when i run the auto-play on the disk it says "Please install VGA cards of ASUS." i did go into the disk and found a setup file which installed a few things such as Catalyst and C++ and a few other things i did get to see since it installed to quickly... So is it the driver or am i just an idiot?

this doesnt sound like a driver problem, but rather a hardware problem.make sure your card is seated properly in the pcie slot.i would physically take it out and reseat it.then make sure you have the proper power cords from your power supply hooked up.

still got your old gpu?if so try it to see if it works.it does sound tho, that you have a bad card.i just like to be sure before i condemn anything.i would even try the card in another machine to see if the issue persists.if it does i would look at an rma for the card.

its pretty easy.one end attaches to a four pin cable from the psu.wire color coding should match.the other end plugs into the back of your gpu.they only plug in one way so dont worry too much.
