I have recently created a thread about a video game running unstable, where it turnout I had to update my graphic drivers via Windows update.
After I downloaded the optional updates from Windows it turned out to be a 1 year old GPU driver, but the game(s) ran flawless unlike with the newest released Nvidia driver (340.52).
So I decided to switch back to the newest driver hoping that the previous errors had been fixed, this turned out to work, for 1 day.
Now again I am left with unstable gameplay and this optional Windows update naming multiple graphic adapter (WDMM1,WDMM2,WDMM2) and jugding from the release date wich is 29-10-13
I am pretty sure it's the one I downloaded and replaced before.

Oh and I have come to believe that there is also a error with my DirectX (if I have one)
Cause I can't even find in the programs under control panel even though Dxdiag tells me I have DirectX 11 installed, second of all when I tried to play DoW 2 Retribution today it told me that a error occured probably cause a older version of DirectX is installed.
Help is needed!

However - it depends on your video card. If the video card doesn't have DX11, no amount of downloading and installing will give it to you. So what card do you have?

That said, there are times when people find that they have had to uninstall the latest drivers and fall back to a stable version to run certain games. So if you have a card with DX11, look at uninstalling all the video drivers, booting in safe mode, and downloading an older version.

I've been given that link before, am I supposed to find the download link there? or am I supposed to look for updates on Windows as the instructions say?
And my GPU is a GTX660, and if I am right it supports DX11.
And about the GPU driver, this may sounds Obvious but I need conformation on this, is it safe to use a older GPU driver and just wait for when a even newer stable one comes out?

Yes, it is safe. Every so often you see threads about problems with current drivers and what version people are falling back to. It may not be your problem, but it's worth a try.

Did you mention which version of Windows you are running? I can usually find the Directx distributions for download, but right now I only see it in the Platform Update for Win7. DX11 is integral to Win8.

Maybe you can tell me this though, will manually downloading it update the the DX?
I found the page to download it, but am not sure if this could mean I will have older version of DX installed instead.
It's from the Microsoft page itself:

That one updates DX 9.0 and earlier versions of DX - I've seen it before. Some games were never updated from the earlier versions, so you need those installed to run the games. I sincerely doubt that that will have any effect on a DX11 problem. Try it, though.
