Hi ! I got a 250GB IDE HDD western digital and i am having quite some problems with it. For the past few days whenever i try to copy something it starts from like 100mb/s , it gets stuck for 2-3 seconds and the speed goes down to 2-.3 mb..Also i have random screen freezes.
I also linked a screenshot of HD Tune Pro maybe it helps!

Download WD's drive diagnostic tools from WD's site and see what they have to say about your HDD. Reallocated sector count hints that the drive head may have crashed into the platters at least once post-manufacture. Your slow write speed could be caused by a damaged head.

You should start making backups immediately and start investigating only after all your important data has been backed off elsewhere.
