So I gave my friend an old 750 Ti I had since his computer under performs in games. He has a HP Pavilion HPE http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03359045&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N90 .

Since we live far away from each other, I told him what to do and video called him to make sure he does it all right. When he pulled out his old AMD card and put the new Nvidia one in, it shows the HP splash screen but after that it is a blank screen with a blinking cursor. Putting the old card into the PC makes it work again but the 750 Ti only shows the HP splash screen and nothing else. The card itself appears to work since the fans spin up and you can see an image on the monitor ( note that this PC's motherboard doesn't have an onboard graphics spot for his video cable, so I know he plugs it into his GPU). The PC also makes one beep every few seconds when the new card was put in also. I've heard that it could be because he can't access the BIOS as it may be locked for warranty reasons or whatever, so that could be it. This summer he is going to use the card in a new PC I'm building for him but until then he would like it in his current setup. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
