I am currently building a budget computer that will be running a GTX 750 Ti paired with a 4570k.

I would like to upgrade to a 760, but my budget does not allow it. However.. would this be better:

GTX 750 Ti + 4670k Overclocked

VS

GTX 760 + 4460.

Would my computer be faster with the 760 + 4460? What will be the big noticable differences?

Thanks

Yep! The 4460 is a great chip, it's by no means low end. You'll be really happy with it, especially if you pair it with a 760. :)
Best of luck with your new build!

Exactly how would an i3 4130 with a 760 be better than an i5 4460 and a 760?

I didn't say it would be... If he can afford a 4460 and a 760, that's the better option.
If he can't afford a 760 if he gets an i5 (which he has already said he couldn't), he should go with the i3. :)

I miss read the post! Sorry! I feel terrible.
The 4460 + 760 is your best option. :)
Enjoy! :D

And burden, if he got the 4670k it wouldn't give him any extra performance for gaming, and would lower his budget for a GPU. The R9 280 is a good option though, it performs slightly better than a 760 for the same price. Although you lose all the Nvidia exclusive features.

On games that use 2 or less cores it will but in newer games that use up to 4 cores(BF4 and watchdogs for example) will perform better on the i5 even with the same video card. Games using 4 or more cores is fast becoming the new norm.

Well i3 is off the table because I would like some performance in programs outside of gaming.

I'm an intel guy so I tend to sway away from amd products, bu thanks for the suggestion.

I'm guessing my only option is the 4460 if I want to go budget wise.
