Will windows 8 run on my pc?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655-s5514 laptop. I will be replacing the hard drive with a brand new one. My question is..Can I run windows 8 on this laptop? Here is a link to the laptop on amazon.http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satellite-C655-S5514-Pentium-Processor/dp/B00739EQF6#productDetails

The product information on the Amazon page says the laptop is sold with Windows 7 Home Premium installed... Windows 8 requirements are about the same, so it should run the same, maybe even better since Windows 8 is improved and a bit faster... just make it a Windows 8.1 Home Premium Edition (lighter than Pro or Ultimate) and it should run good.
