So i want to buy a gaming laptop and travel around a lot so i know a desktop is better for gaming but i need a laptop. So the choices are the Asus G750JM, Alienware 14, Lenovo Y50.
I prefer a portable laptop so i want these to run cool decently quiet.

Games I want to run at high or ultra:
Gmod
Team fortress 2
Counter strike GO
Minecraft
Risk of Rain
Battlefield 4
Bioshock infinite
Space engineers

So if any you guys can give suggestions on what to get that would be greatly appreciated also my budget is 1250 dollars. Thanks!

not too sure it has great cooling and performance but the portability is limited and i have to take this to school so I am leaning to a Y50 so should i stick with that or go to asus?

Definitely go for the Asus G750JM, it is an amazing gamer and far better than the other options you have there. It has a beautiful processor, great graphics cards which matters the most, excellent memory and storage, superb resolution, good battery life etc.
The only thing is this Asus gamer is some what heavy. If weight will be a concern to you, then you can consider the MSI GE70 Apache Pro-012 which has similar specs to the Asus G750JM but almost half times lighter and also has a backlit keyboard which the Asus does not have.

Enjoy Gaming

Every ASUS G750 has a backlit keyboard, you are mistaken. :)

Obviously you will have to balance: performance and portability. Asus wins on performance and weighs almost 10 pounds plus has the bonus of good screen real estate and excellent cooling etc.

the MSI got my attention but I heard they have very loud fans and i prefer a quieter decent cooling laptop so does the apache have cooling that is almost as good and quiet as the Asus g750gm

The fan is not all that loud-- it increases volume to an extent when the processor or graphics card becomes very hot. But if you are using your laptop in a cool place, the fan will not be under any pressure to keep the components cool and therefore barely makes a sound.
