I recently downloaded WinDirStat and went looking through all my files and noticed that Chrome was storing about 15gb of files in my app data within a whole bunch of folders. Does anyone know why it is doing this? Can I delete many of these files without many problems happening?

Every website you go to has pictures, html files, maybe flash, etc. files that the site is made of. All of these are downloaded to your pc. This is how you are able to see them. These are all temp files so you can delete all of it. Chrome also keeps history, autocomplete info and other stuff like that. You can delete all of this from chrome. Go to settings, clear browsing data, and check what you want to delete.
