stolen geforce gtx 760

Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a seconded video card for sli on my tower. My roommate had friends over and my unopened gpu was taken. I contacted nvidia and they said they would place it as stolen. Can it be tracked. Or is there any way nvidia can trace it if it's used

For all of our sakes, lets hope there are no trackers of any kind in video cards. Contact the police and your insurance company, other than that, its gone.
  2. That sucks so much, man... I feel really sorry for you. People can be such ***holes.
There isn't any way to track it down, unfortunately.
    Best of luck, brother.
  3. nope
  4. Call the cops and talk to your roommate about the shifty friends he had over.

Yep. Ask your roommate who he had over and make him find out who took it and get it back.
That's your best bet. Your roommate owes it to you to find out who took it.
You should be able to have your personal belongings in your own home without worrying about your roommate having disgusting people over that are going to take your expensive possessions. :(

  7. I had something similar happen with an old roommate. I found out who took them(roommate had no idea they stole them). In the end I got my stuff back and a misdemeanor assault charge. I tried the cops first but apparently they couldn't be bothered at the time, but that should still be your first coarse of action.
  8. Damn so nvidia can't even tell if being used? That's retarded. I'll let you guys know how it gose down

Actually that is a major privacy issue.
I agree try to figure it out with your roommate. It wouldn't hurt
to call the police even though they usually to bother with small items :P
