I am 16 and currently moved into a new home with my step mom and she has a very nice internet package. When testing on my dads laptop he got over 15mbps. We are on the same network and I get 100Kbps to 300kbps for some reason also not to mention the horrible web browsing and high ping while gaming. I lost an old USB wifi adapter so bought a new one (belkin) which is a diffrent brand but I don't think thats the problem because on my brothers xbox he also has slow connection. I am currently in the basement, but the Modem is right above me upstairs and when I brought my dads laptop down here to test he still got over 15mbps. I did restart the modem and it didn't do anything. Also my dad is on a Wireless Network while I am on a Wireless network 3 which I have no idea what this means or if there is a difference I have tried to find a wireless network but all I have is Wireless network 3. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
