Hi everyone, as the title states I'm new to overclocking. Over the past few days I've done a lot of reading on my system and how to overclock. My system consists of:
Cpu: AMD FX-8120
Name: Zambezi
Stepping: 2
Frequency: 4000
ref*multi: 210*19
CPU voltage: 1.4
CPU-NB: 1.25
nb frequency: 2317
NB volts: 1.1
RAM: 16GB 1333Mhz DDR3 9-9-9-24-2T @ 1.5V (I think)
Motherboard: Asus m5a99x evo
Cooling: Air cooling/Noctua NH-D14
OS: 7 64-bit
Any other information that may help I will provide.

Basically when I run Prime95 stress test, my system freezes. My temps are all good. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks everyone

Try using HeavyLoad or another stress test to see if that helps.

I have HeavyLoad as well, and is stable with HeavyLoad. I have been trying to use P95 because it seems to be the #1 used...

HeavyLoad works just as good as Prime95 for the most part. I'd check with the actual software team on that one if you want the software to work just for the hell of it.

Check if Cool and Quiet is on in the BIOS.

Cool and quiet is currently on, i have read mixed posts about keeping it on while overclocking for stability.
I will use HeavyLoad for stability tests. Thank you for your help, its much appreciated.

No problem man, I really hope you figure things out on Prime95. Like I said, try checking with the actual team on that one.
