Hey so I hot a z87 g45 msi mobo. So as stupid as I was I held the mobo by the heat siink and heard a tiny crack. It sounded like as if u know the opposing side of the mobo is heavier. Or does it tske a lot to break a mobo

id closely inspect the back behind the hs, but really.... ive picked up many boards by the heatsink and they all work so I think you will be fine :p

Likely just the heatsink shifting/coming loose.

It doesn't take much to electrically kill a mobo, but physically, they are pretty damn tough.

I accidently pulled the heatsink off one of my old gigabyte boards, I just put it back on and it worked! (the crak your heard was just a creaking from the board picking up the extra strain.
