Hello all,

I'm currently in the process of building a computer for $2000. Right now, I'm going to stick to 1080p, but will upgrade to 1440p later on. The only thing that I'd like to change when I make that transition is the monitor itself. So, my question is whether this is the best build for me work with right now. I don't plan on overclocking.

Here are the parts:

Also might go SLI with the 780 TI when I get my 1440p monitor.

Thanks for the help!

I see you have a microcenter on your part list, you can get the 4790k and a MSI gaming 5 for cheaper than what you have listed. The 4790k would be $279 and gaming 5 would be $90. Even though you said you dont plan on overclocking, it doesnt hurt to save the money and have the option for the future.

You did pretty well but please change the ram. I put in something with cas 7 for about $20 more. You were at cas 11 for about $150. The Tridents will run circles around the ones you had selected. If you don't like those for whatever reason(s) make sure to select ram based more on lower cas latency. cas 11 can be beat readily. Otherwise there's not much you could do better and it's mostly personal preference after that. You made some great part selections in my opinion.
