For a novice pc builder, I skimped on the easy things to upgrade later, like the video card and ssd( slow read and write speeds).
 
Solution
An i7 won't be any better 5 years from now than an i5 will be. That's what people thought 5 years ago, and look where we are now. i5s and i7s are still equal in gaming.

For a proper gaming build, get an i5, and get a better GPU.

Looking long term on this pc, maybe fairy tales but want 5+ years and I can upgrade GPU easier then CPU. I totally agree, maybe I should just cut on budget. The wife dont understand haha.
