Right you either sit it out for a bit, and wait.
Because if your using a set of backup and restore disk set, the image is compressed.
So it has to unpack it before it installs the files back to the right destination on the HD.
This can take some time even on a relatively new comp, but is worse on an older system with a low rated budget cpu.
Or you have scratches on the disks causing a read error of the information.
And it gets to the point where it cannot read the files to expand or copy them.
Or your Dvd/Cd drive is old and beginning to fail at reading disks.
If your system is new and the computer, make sure you go into the bios and turn the secure boot option off in the bios, and save before exiting.
secure boot stops the prior installation of windows on the working boot drive from being overwritten.
And can often cause a halt when using a restore set of disks ok.
Windows 8 and 8.1 one are notable for this.
