FX-6300 or Core i3 - 2100 ?

hello experts,

what should i pick for gaming ..

CPU: INTEL CORE i3- 2100
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ
GPU: PALIT 1GB GDDR5 GTX 460

or

CPU: AMD FX-6300
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ
GPU: PALIT 1GB GDDR5 GTX 460

the intel setup is much cheaper than the amd setup ..

i need your help .. thanks !

fx 6300 would be the best choice u can always overclock the fx 6300 and get a boost in performance but the i3 is a locked one .......and the amd one is cheaper than the intel .......

im from the philippine .. i can't afford expensive gpus lol .. actually GTX 460 is already mine .. i need to think about the processors .. and also motherboards i think? so what is best ? compatible with the gtx 460

well both the processors are compatible with the card and yes u have to change the motherboard too depending on what cpu u currently own....

if both are compatible with the gpu then ill go for fx 6300 .. its better right ? since the am3+ motherboard here cost only P2,650.00 or $63.9 .. ill buy a 2nd hand processor .. intel core i3 cost $55 and the FX cost $95

Numbers to the right are the CPU Mark reached in the Passmark Benchmarks, and the Ranking in either Performance or Preference among buyers, So I guess it's clear which of these two equally priced (new) CPUs, would be the more attractive buy.
