Is it worth using solely a SSD for my gaming rig?

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy and build a new Gaming PC as my current one is getting pretty old (3 or 4 years now). This is my first time building a PC from scratch so i'm making sure to be as careful as possible. So far i've gotten all the core components more or less figured out and i'll put a link to what i have so far a little later on.

On to the actual question, Is there any point in using the 1TB Samsung 840 Evo for windows AND data? Like, will i get any extra performance over using a smaller SSD with a HDD?

I'm currently only using 500GB and 90% of that is installed games and software.

link to build in case your curious (also if theres anything specific i will need to use a SSD please let me know)

Solution
if u can afford a 1 tb ssd then go for it you will never use a hdd again....
ssd average booting time 15- 20 sec............................hdd about 40 sec
power draw about 2-3 watt..........................................hd power draw about 6-7 watt.
There are no moving parts and as such no sound is ssd...............Audible clicks and spinning can be heard in hdd..
Lower power draw and no moving parts so little heat is produced..................HDD doesn’t produce much heat, but it will have a measurable amount more heat than an SSD due to moving parts and higher power draw
file copy speed Generally above 200 MB/s and up to 550 MB/s for cutting edge drives on ssd.................................for hdd The range can be anywhere from...

You will get a better perfomance for things that are on the SSD vs a HDD, however it's not cost effective. Most people wlll have a smaller SSD (120-156GB) for anything they know they need to run fast (I.E. Games, and software) and they dump stuff like pictures and things of that nature on a HDD as a storage space. If you're wanting pure performance, Raid 0 arrays cannot be beat for gaming and software and speeds that are far beyond typical HDD speeds.

If I were you I'd go with 2x120 Samsung EVO's in a Raid 0 configuration with a 1TB HDD backup. That should more than cover you when it comes to storage space, and it's cheaper than just a flat 1TB SSD.

file operation speed Up to 30% faster than HDD.....
An SSD is safe from any effects of magnetism..................Magnets can erase data

hope all these points helps ................
