Hey Everybody!
I have just sold my PS3 and is looking to build a gaming computer to replace it.
I have read a bit about building a computer and I have found some components I like, but just to be sure I'm not wasting my money I wanted to hear what you guys think about them!
Will they be able to run together and is there any hadware that would fit better for the same price?

CPU:
AMD Athlon II X4 750K - 3.4 GHz - 4 cores - 4 MB cache - Socket FM2 - Box
Motherboard:
MB ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+ FM2+M-ATX D-Sub DDR3
Memory:
Kingston HyperX FURY Red Series - DDR3 - 8 GB - DIMM 240-pin - 1866 MHz / PC3-14900 - CL10 - 1.5 V
GPU:
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Superclocked grafikkort - GF GTX 750 Ti - 2 GB
HDD:
WD Blue WD10EZEX - Harddisk - 1 TB - intern - 3.5" - SATA 6Gb/s - 7200 rpm - buffer: 64 MB
Power supply:
CORSAIR CX430M
Case:
Fractal core design 1000

It's my first ever build so please help me getting it right! Thanks!

Solution
You can overclock with the right mobo eg http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pentium-g3258-b81-cheap-overclocking,3888.html

and end up with say -

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($69.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Mwave)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($46.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.91 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($135.38 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 311 (Silver) ATX Mid Tower Case ($36.99 @ Mwave)
Power Supply: SeaSonic...
The Pentium G3258 will be a better choice than the Athlon 750K. Faster in games, and usually cheaper as well. Of course then you'd need an LGA 1150 motherboard instead.

How much are you paying for the RAM? 1866mhz with a CAS of 10 will perform similarly to 1600Mhz with a CAS of 9. Keep that balance in mind; higher Mhz does not necessarily equal faster, and you need to balance a lower CAS with a higher Mhz. Otherwise you might end up paying more than necessary.

I'd recommend the R9 270 if you can find one for a similar price to that GTX 750 Ti. Either one will be way stronger than a PS3, but the R9 270 will offer more performance and usually costs a similar amount. I got the GTX 750 Ti myself, but that's for other reasons, not raw power. Still, nothing wrong with the GTX 750 Ti for the price, and it performs quite well.

HDD is good.
PSU is a bit cheap, but good enough on a budget.
Could get by with a cheaper case, but that's a good case regardless.

What's your budget?

Try -

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($83.98 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.91 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($189.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($74.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $631.84

Thanks for the answer guys!
I've been looking at the sapphire Radeon R9 270X as well but thought the GTX 750Ti was a better card.
The Ram has got me a bit confused and it was really the thing I was most worried about! So great to hear I can save a bit for the same perfomance!
Will the Pentium G3258 run games good without overclocking?
And do you think I need more cooling than the default that comes with the components?

I would like to keep the budget around 715$, but I live in Denmark and it seems that everything is a bit more expensive here than in USA and other countries.
The build you posted (i7Baby) would be close to 800$ in Denmark!

Ok. I like the second build and the after reading about the Pentium I'm thinking it would be a wise idea to go with it over the Athlon.
Would you recommend picking the r9 270x over the gtx750Ti?

If they're similarly priced, then yes.

Also, yes. 4GB of RAM will be enough for now. Maybe later upgrade it to 8GB, but that's not urgent on a budget.

Will the MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard be able to work with the r9 270x? and how long do you think the pc would be able to keep up if I build something like the Pentium build i7Baby posted but with 8gb?

Okay. Thank you so much for the answers guys! It really has helped me a lot!
I'm going to try building the pentium build and maybe look into overclocking with some help from my friends.
Thanks!!!
