http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4IOrH_FMIs Are those benchmarks Intel biased or can i really benefit almost 20 FPS more from games? I'm pretty sure these benchmarks are fake. Also is the 4690k worth an extra $70 over the FX 8350? Which has a better value?

the fx 8350 has the better value for product but still in gaming the 4690k is a bit better both are good processors with fx 8350 having 8 cores but weak single core performance than the i5 which have 4 cores with much high single core performance..... both are good for overclocking but the intel processor are cooler and more heat resistant than the amd..

The regular cheaper 4690 (non k) would be better in terms of price/performance.

The FX 8350 is a great value and maybe not as good as the i5 4690k though once you factor in Cooling and the cost of a good motherboard if you want to Overclock. Basically since the i5 2500k there have been reviews and discussions on the i5 vs the FX8350. I can't say enough for how well Intel CPUs perform. I used a Sandy Bridge i5 and coming from an Athlon II I could see a huge difference just in desktop let alone games. Not the same as an Octa-core but not to far in single-threaded tasks. Personally i do not see a compelling reason to buy a FX 8350 right now. There are some things that the 8 core will do better, such as certain benchmarks maybe CPU physics scores and will decrease Content rendering times slightly over the i5. But In almost any other way The Haswell i5 experience will be better...imo. so yes it is worth it

According to the video the 4690k gives more than a 30% performance boost ... Is that true? Are there any reliable benchmark comparisons I can trust?

That sounds about right to be honest. There will be some cases where the 8350 can close the gap, but for the most part the i5 will be better.

Thank you so much for the help all! I thought those benchmarks were fake, I never knew a CPU could make so much difference :/

It can if you have the other components to keep up (high end graphics card).
